The RoNewMedia alternative web festival will have a cool guest (from my point of view) amongst the speakers: Miguel Ripoll - a designer I have the utmost respect for. The specific, amazing manner he uses to interleave the typography methods and elements with illustration - either minimalistic or rather complex and ellaborated - makes me wonder what other new media miracles he’s working for …? Every single piece of his agency’s portfolio - web, id, book or multimedia/cultural instalation - is outstanding, with no exception. Guys’n'galls from the “creative industry”, please take a look at University of California, Berkeley website - and please let me know how many Romanian web designers / web design agencies would have been approached (and/or proposed) this way of expression - totally new, atypical and absolutely fresh, suggesting the eclectic and high-level learning environment as an area governed with summary but straight rules, drawn from typography??…
