POSSIBLE CLIENT
Currently, we would like you to put your best efforts in the service application. Attached are some photos.
[ this is what the previous supplier left behind, running from this client ]
The main idea behind it is to provide [ name a big client ] with:
[ dozens of requests here, for a service/ticketing app ]
We will provide you with [ almost nothing ], etc., when needed.
We shall be able to modify the database (i.e., adding / removing stuff, switching between stuff’s stuff, etc.) entirely. We can host the server.
We need it ASAP. Please estimate time & cost.
AVAILABLE SUPPLIER
We have identified at least two segments here: the core application and the data entry (because you don’t have a database to work directly on it - your previous supplier has dissapeared with your entire application).
[ plenty of explanations ]
We believe that the core application of the [ name a big client ] usualy could be developed in max. 4-5 weeks, and it should cost 4500 EUR + TVA. The “core” will include all the functionalities mentioned in your e-mail, based on user level of access, as follows … [ again, plenty of explanations ].
SAME CLIENT, SOMEHOW WORRIED
As I’ve already mentioned, our total budget for the entire project is 5000 EUR. We can not exceed it. When I say budget, I mean the total resources which we may allocate in order to purchase goods. In our case, it includes your proposed steps, full support, sources as well as neccesary hardware (server) and its software. We believe in a good collaboration and bear in mind that we are looking for other projects as well in the near future - corporate site and other services projects. [ and some other bullshit ]
SAME SUPPLIER, NICELY
The application don’t need special hardware - it will be an on-line application, and this means that it will be hosted on a good hosting provider (where are hosted our applications, too). What this means:
>> you won’t need to buy and maintain a server in-house
>> you won’t need to buy a specific software
>> neither to buy a broadband connection in order to maintain the application alive
[ other kind explanations ]
SAME CLIENT …NOT-THAT-POSSIBLE
I am glad to see that we do not need to purchase a server and host our application. It surely saves our company some funds. As a result, we have deducted from our initial budget the server and software costs, reaching a sum of 3000 EUR net dedicated to this project.
SAME SUPPLIER …NOT-THAT-AVAILABLE
Thank you, but … no, thank you! See you later.

I have a simple question: is the client Romanian? Because a part of the discussion made me think that, while another part indicated that it’s not. I bet on the Romanian. Which one is it, Richard?

It’s an entire chain of weakness here.
The client’s final client is Ro. A big one.
The client - from Middle East or so.
The supplier is Ro.
The business is D. From “dead”

Ha ha ha, so i’m wrong!
Sentence of the day (in a good way): “Assume your client is stupid”.
