OVERVIEW

I am a new media designer with more than 7 years of working experience (involving all kind of new media projects, from web sites concept and design, corporate id, logo design, stationery, to complex interactive development, print/outdoor and TV video/motion).

Skills includes art directing and coordinating capabilities, imaginative and creative thinking, critical eye; I’m a self-starter and team-worker, as well – I work easilly both by myself or within a team.

Software used: Macromedia (Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Director, the MX release), MS FrontPage, Metacreations (Corel, Painter, Poser, Bryce, KPT tools), Adobe (PhotoShop, AfterEffects, Premiere, Illustrator, Freehand), 3dStudio MAX, Terragen, Sound Forge, CoolEdit … also MS Office and Windows 95/98 / ME / NT4 WS / 2000 WS / XP operating systems.

Role: to act as a team-leader, together with 6 team-mates (2 designers / 2 programmers / 1 Flash programmer / 1 information architect & project manager / 1 content manager). To manage the company’s production activity in a proper way, increasing the efficiency of the team and the quality of released work, and shortening the response time if it was possible. To find new manners to involve better the team members in the company’s life and evolution. Also, to work as a new media designer, and to suply the team’s needs on tight deadlines.

01/2002 - Collaborator as art director with Voxtime Inc (program identity and marketing/promotion materials for Mickda’row - logotype, website, web banners, poster, flyers, letterheads, stickers, T-shirts, baseball caps, ballpens).

11/2001 - Subcontractor as new media designer with NetBridge srl (flash banners for Hewlett-Packard “Blade servers”, MyX “Prepelix”, Coca Cola “Christmas”, Commercial Union “Guess the product name!”, Alcor 2000 “Gifts”).

10/2001 - Collaborator as art director with Hambar18 (identity, presentation brochure and dynamic Flash layout for a TV 150 sec program named “Top100.ro”).

9/2001 - Collaborator as graphic designer with AutoShow (3d header design for their 4×4 Magazine). Since then this artwork is still used on various occasions.

4/2001 - Collaborator as designer for Siemens Automotive Timisoara (designing/developing the identity for the Global Integration Team program - logo, id, poster and T-shirt).

2/2001 - Collaborator as designer for Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (designing/developing the new identity for the Electronic Labor Exchange ELE-SEMM program - logo, poster, visit cards, stickers and other promotional materials).

10/2000 - 1/2002, E-ntegra srl Romania - Art Director and Web project manager
Responsibility: re-think the entire corporate ID, to design the websites layout, to make the concept and design of the marketing materials, to `build` a really professional image for this fresh company, and to integrate this image in the Romanian web and software development market scene. 10/1999 - 8/2000, Voxtime Inc, Boston, MA - Art Director / New media designer
My main responsibility at Voxtime was to give an identity to a new product (called “Voxtime”), to concept, design and layout the interface of Voxtime on-line negotiation platform with intelligent agents, as a user-friendly and highly-usable website. The entire interface was built in Flash4 (and the result was the first Romanian “professional” website developed completely in Flash), with dynamic content provided through XML/XSL, from ORACLE databases (attention, no Macromedia’s Generator involved !).

The programming part of the project was accomplished by my colleagues (C/C++/CORBA programmers). The project was successfully completed; screens can be viewed at www.voxtime.com .

7/1999 – Telecommuting: Flash Graphic Designer, for www.ecards.com, Canada.
Responsibility: to develop electronic cards (in Shockwave Flash v3/4) for various occasions, by following some basic ideas provided from Ecards’s creative staff (additional and very challenging job).

4/1999 - 10/1999, MediaNet Publishing (component of MediaPro Group) Bucharest - New media / web designer
Responsibilities: to give a direction, a new visual `fragrance` to all MediaNet web and interactive productions; to help the team’s members to develop themselves professionally.

I’ve worked to redesign the CTN`s (www.ctn.ro, now www.eonsoftware.ro) corporate ID. I’ve created advertising / marketing / multimedia / web materials and products for CTN software products (flyers, banners, two video clips of 15 sec each other, on-air at local PRO-TV stations in Romania) and for CTN or Mirabilis clients (interactive AutoCatalog for SAAB `98, Eclipsa website, Catavencu demo site with Flash navigation tools, several Splash pages for CONNEX and MYX, done in Flash).

6/1998 - 9/1998 - Graphic Designer in broadcasting, for Prima TV-Station (full time job). I’ve worked at graphic packages for movie and cartoon teasers / promos.

6/1998 - August 1998 - Part-time job for SoftNet Services srl (graphic/artistic coordination for websites and multimedia production). Here I have worked concepts/graphics for outdoor advertising materials (4×3 meters), and for some new websites (e.g. Lufthansa Romania).
